Return To Play Protocols

Post-Operation Return To Play Protocols

For ACL repair there are two different protocols we use based on what type of graft is being used, either Hamstring or Bone Patellar Bone autograft:

For Concussions, Wilson Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine follows the NFL guidelines for return to play. You can read the National Football League Head, Neck and Spine Committee’s Protocols Regarding
Return to Participation Following Concussion here

Shoulder RTP is for athletes that play in a throwing sport, like baseball, softball and/or football, after they’ve had a major injury that takes them out of play for six months or more (surgical or non surgical).

The Achilles Tendon Repair RTP is for athletes returning to their sport post-operation.
