About Dr. Mark Wilson:

Dr. Mark Wilson graduated from the University of Notre Dame, earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree. He then completed his medical education at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, IN. Afterwards, Dr. Wilson pursued a career in Orthopedics completing his internship and residency at LSU Shreveport where he became versed in General Orthopedics. He completed a Sports Fellowship at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, WI in order to enhance his expertise in Team Sports Medicine and Complex Arthroscopic surgical techniques. There, he assisted in caring for Division 1 Athletes on and off the field and co-authored multiple peer reviewed articles. He then joined Minden Medical Center and help establish Wilson Orthopedic’s and Sports Medicine in Minden, LA. Dr. Wilson is very passionate about Sports Medicine, evident by his presence on sidelines every Friday night during football season. He is the team doctor for Glenbrook, Minden, and Lakeside High Schools and has a Saturday Morning Clinic during football season. He is proficient in Shoulder, Hip, and Knee Arthroplasty, but has a special place in his heart for joint restoration surgeries as he is a TRUE Sports Surgeon. Having completed a prestigious, accredited Sports Fellowship program. In his free time, Dr. Wilson is a family man with two children, Evan and Ella. He also has a strong faith being involved with mission trips, community service, and a weekly Life Group. Of course living in Louisiana, he has developed a passion for deep sea fishing, duck hunting, and losing multiple golf balls when time permits.
